Let’s Connect

If you are interested in the adoption of a Scottish Terrier with Scottish Terrier Rescue of the Southeast, we ask that you complete an adoption application.

Once you have completed an application, an STRSE volunteer will contact you to confirm we have received your application or if we have any additional questions regarding your application.

Submitting an adoption application does not guarantee the adoption of any dog. All potential adopters must pass a home inspection and veterinary reference check prior to adoption with STRSE.

Please understand that our adoptions are not done on a first-come, first-served basis. Our goal is to place our rescue Scotties in the most ideal home possible based on their needs, personality, behavior, past history, and health situation. STRSE absorbs all costs of medical and corrective treatments required for our Scotties before adoption. It is our intention to ensure that all our rescue Scotties are healthy before they leave our care regardless of the amount of time it requires. Some of our rescue dogs suffer from chronic, non-life-threatening illnesses. Our policy is to provide full disclosure of all known medical conditions prior to adoption. Copies of all available medical records are transferred to the adopting individual(s) when the adoption is finalized.

When an adoption is made, the adopter is required to sign a contract agreeing to provide adequate care for the dog. We also ask for a donation from the adopting individual(s) to cover the rescue expenses.

For any additional questions about adopting a Scottie with STRSE, please contact our President/Coordinator, Lisa Mann, at strse.carolina@gmail.com.
